Wine Tastings in Cape Town

Do you know that there are around 400 wine estates in the Western Cape and so, the possibility to do many wine tastings in Cape Town?!

One day I had a business meeting at JC LeRoux in Stellenbosch, a very well-know wine estate for its Methode Cap Classique (MCC) but I have actually discovered much more: a nice restaurant with stunning food and very unusual wine tastings to finish your meal with a good amount of bubbles and sweetness! JC LeRoux offers Marshmallow and MCC tasting, Meringue and MCC tasting, fine hand-made Nougat and MCC tasting, refreshing sorbets and MCC tasting! Each for around R45! See you soon at JC LeRoux.

Now, if you are a chocolate addict like me...it is almost compulsory to go to Waterford again in Stellenbosch! They have a chocolate and wine pairing experience which is...which is...HEAVEN! Imagine salt chocolate, rose chocolate and other delights with the appropriate wines for R35 per person...It is a must-do wine tasting in Cape Town! And, cherry on the cake, Waterford is a beautiful estate which is really worth it to visit!

And while you are in Stellenbosch, you should also go for wine tasting at Alto , actually you should start your tour with Alto as they combine wine tastings with home-made pâtés served on artisanal 100% rye bread (R50 for the tasting), much better to be eaten before mashmallows and chocolates!!!

Another beautiful place to stop by, is Cape Point Vineyards on your way back from the Cape Peninsula. Just make sure to be there for 16h30 the latest to really have time to enjoy a huge, divine, superb cheese platter paired with excellent wines. Again, this is a wine tasting in Cape Town that you will remember!
