Prawn recipe

This a prawn recipe with peri peri, piri-piri ou peli-peli! They all refer to a cultivar of the chili pepper and so it is hot but so good! A famous South African restaurant called Nando's uses peri peri in many of dishes and has even launched Nandos peri-peri that they export to many countries! You know the trick to chilli?! Never drink water straight after you eat hot but eat bread or yoghurt! It should help if it does not then eat more chilli!!!;-)

(serve 4)

Ingredients

800g prawns in the shell

4 cloves fresh garlic, chopped

1 tea spoon ground cloves

1 table spoon fresh grated ginger

250g butter

1 tablespoon peri peri powder

5 table spoons lime juice

Method

Mix all spices.

Heat a large frying pan or wok and add the butter.

When it starts to smell nice and before the butter burnt, add all the prawns.

Fry them until they lose transparency and the flesh is white.
