South African recipes for your delight

Bookmark and Share

We call South Africa, the Rainbow nation and we can relate to this term for South African recipes too. They all come from different eating habits, diets and tastes amongst the various cultures in South Africa.

It's such a pleasure to cook in Cape Town because you can find everything from delicious fresh fruits, good quality meat, lots of spices, organic vegetables...and even cheeses!

This is paradise for a French girl and especially one who loves cooking!

I’ve listed traditional SA recipes such as Biltong, Bobotie, Cape Malay curry, Kingklip...

SOUTH AFRICAN RESTAURANTS

If you would rather go to South African food restaurants, click here!

Also, there are some days where I don’t want to go out but I have no clue what to cook with what I have in my fridge so I go to Let's cook french!

And there are other days where friends come around unexpectedly and I have to make a dinner, pas de probleme! Food wise, I go to this genius website called ‘Cooking by numbers’ and drink wise(!), I jump on 'Cocktails’.
I enter, what I have in my cupboard and in my fridge and… talaaaaaaaaaa…voila! A nice cocktail for the aperitif and a nice dish for dinner! Sorted and happy! There is no problem only solutions!

Now, under normal circumstances, I love cooking and spending time to find THE recipe which inspires me on 'Food and home' and Food creations.

Sometimes, I don’t feel like going shopping so I shop on the net! Yeah! Use and abuse of the technology! Try PnP online and Food online.
